A metronome whose clicks are scheduled on the audio timeline, sample by sample — not fired by a timer that slips.
Most free metronomes fire the click from a timer. It slips a few milliseconds each beat. Over a twenty minute practice session, you hear it.
This one pre-schedules every click on the AVAudioEngine timeline. The interval between two clicks is written into the buffer itself, so the tempo is exact for as long as you play.
